Single Review: Jim Kroft – ‘One Sees The Sun’

Scottish-born songwriter Jim Kroft takes us back to the 90’s heyday when britpop reigned supreme with his single One Sees The Sun which was released this month.
Born in Scotland but relocating to Berlin for its artistic diversity and creative vitality Kroft debuts himself with this catchy and charming piece of pop bliss.
The song is jam packed full of a variety of instruments from the opening strings to the complimenting electric guitar solo as well as some alluring backing vocals as the cheery on the top.
You can hear that inspiration has come from the likes of Cast and Ocean Color Scene in this track. You can also hear that Jim is looking to create something out of the norm but also something that is also familiar to the listener.
The song is one of optimism and hope. Its a perfect song for the (hopefully) warm spring/summer seasons ahead – acoustic and bursting at the seams with folk/pop hooks its easy listening at its best.
The single which, released on April 4th, also comes with a fantastic single-worthy B-side Birthrights which is just as good as the lead.
