Single Review: Leona Lewis – ‘One More Sleep’

The festive season has well and truly rolled around and musicians everywhere are getting into the spirit. The latest songstress to get merry with her music is British singer-songwriter Leona Lewis with her new track One More Sleep.
Taking on a Mariah Carey-like approach to the mainstream Christmas anthem, One More Sleep sees Leona crooning her smooth angelic voice over the sound of Christmas bells and a Motown-esque backing tune. The romantic track features a chorus counting down to Christmas (“I got 5 more nights of sleeping on my own, 4 more days until you’re coming home…”) and waiting to see a lover.
One More Sleep song is quite cheery as is to be expected from Christmas themed tunes, with a youthful vibe attempting to capture the innocence and excitement of a child at Christmas time. We’ll surely be hearing a lot of this one as we get closer to the holidays and if you’re a fan of all things jolly you’ll likely be a fan of this song.
