Paramount Pictures Australia hosted a special red carpet event in Sydney’s CBD last night for the upcoming action blockbuster, TERMINATOR GENISYS and the star-studded event saw iconic action star Arnold Schwarzenegger and Aussie star Jai Courtney, and a few special guests, tread the black carpet at Sydney’s Event Cinemas to show fans an early look at footage from their new film.
The TERMINATOR franchise launched in 1984 with Schwarzenegger as the title character and spanned three subsequent films, which have earned over $1 billion at the worldwide box office. Schwarzenegger reprises his role as the iconic character and Jai Courtney joins the film as hero Sgt. Kyle Reese, who travels back in time to save the ‘Mother of the Resistance’ Sarah Connor.
In the latest installment of the hugely successful franchise, John Connor (Jason Clarke), leader of the human resistance, sends Sgt. Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney) back to 1984 to protect Sarah Connor (Emilia Clarke) and safeguard the future but an unexpected turn of events creates a fractured timeline. Now, Sgt. Reese finds himself in a new and unfamiliar version of the past, where he is faced with unlikely allies, including the Guardian (Arnold Schwarzenegger), dangerous new enemies, and an unexpected new mission: To reset the future…
The film stars Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jason Clarke, Emilia Clarke, Jai Courtney, J. K. Simmons, Dayo Okeniyi, Matthew Smith, Courtney B. Vance and Byung-Hun Lee.
