News: Viral Sensations Walk Off The Earth Announce New Album ‘Sing It All Away’

(US) The chart-topping viral musical phenomenon Walk off the Earth’s highly anticipated sophomore album, Sing It All Away, is set to be released on June 16 via Columbia Records. The album is available for pre-order today with the lead single “Rule The World” and the title track “Sing It All Away” as instant downloads (click here for pre-order). Additionally, the album features the bonus track of Walk Off The Earth’s collaboration with Steve Aoki inspired by their song “Home We’ll Go.”
In true Walk Off The Earth fashion, the Sing It All Away cover art and tracklist were revealed throughout Monday with the help of some of the groups biggest fans – Wotelings – around the world. Every hour, on the hour, another image and track was revealed by a WOTE-selected fan via Twitter and shared across the band’s socials, using the hashtag #WOTElingReveal.
Sing It All Away is the follow-up to their 2013 debut, R.E.V.O., which marked them as an inventive force to be reckoned with, hitting the Billboard Top Albums chart, launching the #1 Triple A single “Red Hands,” and selling out two headline tours worldwide. The band will be supporting their album release via a 17-date North American tour of intimate venues, beginning May 6th in Toronto, ON.
Walk Off The Earth features multi-instrumentalists Gianni Luminati, Marshall, and Sarah Blackwood on vocals, Taylor on keyboards, and Joel Cassady on drums. The platinum Canadian quintet had already established a significant global following when their cover of Gotye’s “Somebody I Used To Know,” ignited the blogosphere, eventually garnering 164 million views, and landing the band a recording contract with Columbia Records. To date, they’ve accumulated almost half billion cumulative views and more than 2 million subscribers. Most notably, however, they are one of the few artists to continually and successfully find success on both DIY online platforms and throughout the traditional music marketplace.
