News: The Mavericks To Debut New Album ‘Mono’

2 min read

Making magic in the studio and delivering their genre-defying sound to live audiences over the last two decades, The Mavericks will release ‘Mono’ (The Valory Music Co.) on February 17, 2015 and embark on their one world themed tour on February 19, 2015. The Grammy-winning band first shared the exciting news from the Ryman Auditorium stage during their Grand Ole Opry® performance last night, where they previewed some of the fresh material. The new album and international dates follow The Mavericks triumphant return in 2013: critically-acclaimed IN TIME, Twenty-Five Live Tour as well as major national TV appearances on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, CBS This Morning Saturday and a PBS Special.

A flurry of buzz elicited a hunger for more music, more signature swagger … more of The Mavericks. The Village Voice blatantly stated, “in a word or three, the Mavericks are cool as sh*t,” while No Depression insisted, “…the energy of a locomotive barreling down a track at a hundred miles an hour. The chemistry between these guys is so good…” Fans from the US, Canada, London, Australia, Scotland and places in between turned out for their exhilarating run of live shows throughout the last year of headline dates.
