News: One Direction Announce 2015 Australian Tour

(AUS) Nine Live and Sony Music are pleased to announce that the world’s biggest band, One Direction, will be returning to Australia in 2015 for the first time in two years for an incredible stadium tour.

Proudly presented by Telstra Thanks®, the ‘On The Road Again’ 2015 Tour will see One Direction play songs from their latest 2 x platinum album, MIDNIGHT MEMORIES, as well as songs from their 3 x platinum TAKE ME HOME and their 4 x platinum debut album, UP ALL NIGHT. The tour will take in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth and will see One Direction once again play to thousands of fans around Australia.

Liam Payne from One Direction has said, “We can’t wait to come back to Australia and play for all our fans again on the On the Road Again 2015 Tour. Our Australian fans have been there for us since day one, and we always have such a great time there. We’ll see you all in February next year!”

One Direction will tour Australia in February 2015 and undertake the following shows:

SATURDAY FEBRUARY 14THMELBOURNE, ETIHAD STADIUM

FRIDAY FEBRUARY 20TH PERTH, PATERSONS STADIUM

Tickets for the general public go on sale Saturday May 31st at 4pm local time in each state.

Last year One Direction released their record-breaking third album MIDNIGHT MEMORIES, which saw them named as the IFPI’s Global Artist of 2013 for becoming the biggest selling act in the world. They also became the first ever band to have their first three albums debut at No.1 in the US Billboard Chart, hitting the top spot in a further 30 countries worldwide. The band – Harry, Niall, Liam, Louis and Zayn – have just completed the first leg of their massive, sell-out Where We Are Tour stadium tour, which saw the boys visit South America for the very first time to an overwhelming reception. The UK and Ireland leg kicks off at Dublin’s Croke Park on 23rd May, before moving to Europe and the USA throughout the rest of 2014.
