News: Nitin Sawhney To Return To Stage With Forthcoming Album ‘Dystopian Dream’

1 min read

(UK) Quantum DJ, multi-instrumentalist, composer, producer, orchestral conductor and all around musical multi-tasker extraordinaire Nitin Sawhney, will return to the stage on September 21st at the Royal Albert Hall. Tickets are on sale now and for more information click here.

Featuring the best of his work from his first ten albums, Sawhney will also be presenting tracks from his forthcoming album ‘Dystopian Dream’, which was created following a series of personal losses, and the global turmoil of the last few years. Although more blues orientated than previous work, Dystopian Dream sees Sawhney returning to the darker, broodier, emotive sounds of his earlier albums, where he is well known for cultivating a unique identity forged by Eastern and Western classical music, flamenco, trip hop, drum n bass and dubstep.

Undoubtedly set to be a unique night of musical genius on display, the show will see Sawhney perform with some of his favourite musicians including the vocal talents of Ashwin Srinivasan, Tina Grace, Nicki Wells and Rahel Debebe-Dessalegne. Revered tabla & dholak player Aref Durvesh and cellists Ian Burdge and Danny Keane. He will also feature guest appearances from the likes of Alan Thomson (slide guitar), Soumik Datta (sarod) and Manu Delago (hang drums).
