News: Ed Sheeran Confirms Rudimental And Foy Vance As Support For Stadium Tour

2 min read

(AUS) With over one hundred thousand tickets already sold through pre-sale, Ed Sheeran’s stadium tour is shaping up to be one of the biggest tours of the summer (click here for tour dates). Frontier Touring has announced that Ed Sheeran will be joined by Rudimental and Foy Vance for an unforgettable run of stadium shows this November and December.

Brit Award winning & Mercury Prize-nominated Londoners Rudimental last played Australia and New Zealand in 2014, touring in celebration of their global smash debut album Home which is jam-packed with anthems like ‘Not Giving In’ (ft. John Newman & Alex Clare), ‘Waiting All Night’ (ft. Ella Eyre) and ‘Free’ (ft. Emeli Sandé).

Earlier this week the UK four-piece gave fans a taste of their forthcoming sophomore album (due for release later this year through Warner Music) with lead single ‘Never Let You Go’, featuring Foy Vance. The track picks up where their debut album left off with the perfect balance of toe-tapping percussion, layered harmonies and a rollicking horn section.

No strangers to working together, Sheeran collaborated with Rudimental for ‘Bloodstream’, taken from his latest album x. The accompanying music video features iconic American actor Ray Liotta as a washed-up frontman of a fictional hair-metal group, click here to view.

Foy Vance, Sheeran’s close friend and collaborator, will be opening proceedings at all shows. The Irish troubadour was born in Northern Ireland and spent part of his youth in Oklahoma where he developed a love for soul, blues and jazz. His songwriting reflects the careful balance between his love of these styles and his homeland’s folk music roots.

Vance’s debut album Joy of Nothing was released to critical acclaim in 2013 and received the inaugural Northern Irish Music Prize for Best Album. Earlier this year, the Irish troubadour released Live At Bangor Abbey (out now through Liberator Music/Glassnote Records), recorded live in his hometown of Bangor in Northern England. Demand in the pre-sale was huge; don’t miss out when tickets to Ed Sheeran’s stadium tour – now with added Rudimental and Foy Vance – go on sale Tuesday! Yet another special guest will be added to Ed’s tour very soon, stay tuned for news.
