Single Review: Goldfrapp – ‘Believer’

2 min read

With their first tour in two years kicking off in November, electro-fantasy dance duo Goldfrapp are set to release single number three from their latest record titled Believer on September 6th.

GoldfrappBelieverThough I think it isnt an easy task to recreate the success of the bands juggernaut 2005 album Supernature, which gained them international attention, Goldfrapp are still producing some truly amazing records. The bands latest effort has already spawned the enormous club-floor filler Rocket, which in my opinion holds its ground as one of the best Goldfrapp releases to date, as well as the follow up, Alive.

As the London bands third single to be taken from their new record Head First, Believer has the same eighties electro-pop feel that Rocket delivered in full gusto. Synths, spacey sounds and candy coated vocals paired up with the bands signature dream sequences make this another future hit for Goldfrapp who don’t shy away from the successful songwriting formula that got them to where they sit so comfortably among the heavyweights of electro-pop and energetic dance gems.

Believer is another notch in the belt of infectious and energetic single success for Goldfrapp who are on fire with this latest release. It’s as catchy, classy and hook heavy as electro-pop comes these days and Goldfrapp are among those who streamline the genre to pure pop perfection.

The single is well worth every penny with the inclusion of a staggering seven incredible remixes of Believer including two mammoth makeovers courtesy of Erasure musical mastermind Vince Clarke.
