Featured Artist: The Garden (Part Two)

1 min read

Though they have only been recording under that name for a mere four years, The Garden (a.k.a. Wyatt and Fletcher Shears) already have a stunningly healthy back catalogue. Over LPs like the brilliant The Life And Times of A Paperclip and 2012’s Everyhing Is Perfect EP, the Shears twins have managed to stay true to their sonic signature while always reaching for new artistic goals, rejecting anything resembling career malaise.

Indeed, though both are recognisable as The Garden songs, there is a dramatic difference between the guttural electro gratings of Cloak and the anarchic brevity of 8 Foot Tall Man Walking out Of The Forest, and in truth, the ‘quintessential’ Garden sound lies somewhere in-between these two startling poles.

To that end, here are our five very favourite The Garden tracks; a kind of cheat sheet for the uninitiated. For the long term fans: do you agree? Disagre? Let us know in the comment section below.
