Single Review: Andy Bell – ‘Call On Me’
2 min readWith his recently released aptly titled record Non-Stop released this week, Andy Bells new single Call On Me has also recently been released and proves to be the best work by the Erasure front man to be heard in some years.
Call On Me is a dominant and confident pop track. To be honest there isn’t really that much difference between an Andy Bell record and an Erasure record. Andy’s vocals set against a backdrop of retro synth-pop equals a relatively similar result. This being said it is not a disservice to Andy’s solo material in the slightest. His latest album Non Stop, with Call On Me being the flawless example, is a non stop pop gem in true Andy Bell style. He is in his prime when it comes to creating disco fuelled happy hits.
Produced by Andy and Ladyhawke collaborator Pascal Gabriel, Call On Me is an electro dance floor anthem and one that exhibits a master at the top of his game.
